GOSHEN, Ind. - The Double R.R Fight team at Hit-Fit Boxing Studio needs your help to make their dreams a reality!
The group of young boxers in Goshen are looking to send two of their boys to test their talents in the national ring.
Emiliano and Jarrett have only been boxing for about a year now, but have already picked up many wins, including victories at the Indiana Black Expo boxing matches earlier this month.
They’re hoping to raise enough money to fund the boys’ trip to Florida for the National Junior Golden Gloves competition on the 28th.
Their coach, Arturo Rodriguez, once chased a dream of becoming a professional boxer as well, before his aspirations were cut short due to an injury.
Now he’s opened Hit-Fit Boxing Studio, where he helps young kids pick up the same skills and love for boxing that he still carries with him today.
Rodriguez says the group fights both inside and outside of the ring - he is a cancer survivor while Emiliano is pre-diabetic.
Rodriguez hopes that this is just the beginning of a long boxing career for the boys and the rest of their teammates.
