GOSHEN, Ind. -- After Keystone RV confirmed 334 of its workers would be laid off by the end of September due to two factories being shut down, Bristol-based Utilimaster is offering jobs to those being affected by the closure.
Keystone RV, which is owned by Elkhart motorhome manufacturing giant Thor Industries, announced that they will be officially shutting down Plant 41 on Sourwood Drive and Plant 705 on Lincolnway East in Goshen on September 23.
In the wake of the closures, Utilimaster, a manufacturer based in Bristol, is offering up to $28 per hour for shift leaders and $22 for production workers to help construct box trucks for Amazon, UPS, and other companies.
This comes as many Michiana manufacturers struggle to hire and retain employees in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
