One sent to hospital following three-vehicle crash Thursday morning
Clouds will continue to build this afternoon as a large snow system moves through central and southern Indiana. While the southern parts of the state are already experiencing snowfall, Michiana remains clear for now. Light snow showers are possible overnight, but our area will stay outside the main impact zone of the winter storm. Overnight temperatures will drop into the low 20s, though breezy conditions will make it feel even colder. By Monday afternoon, the snow system will begin to move out, leaving very light snow accumulations—less than an inch for much of Michiana. However, some southern Michiana counties could receive over 1 inch. The rest of Monday will be mostly clear, with occasional peaks of sunshine. Highs will only reach the upper 20s to kick off the week. Temperatures will remain cold as we move further into the week, bringing back the chance for lake-effect snow.
Tonight: Light snow showers. Less than an inch expected locally. Low 21.
Monday: AM snow showers. Patchy clouds by afternoon. High 28.
Tuesday: Cloudy, light lake effect snow. High 28.
Wednesday: Chance of snow. High 23.
