SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Studebaker National Museum will host Michiana Railroad History, as part of its Speaker Series on Wednesday, August 21 from 1:30 to 3 p.m.

Museum officials invite community members to join the team from the New York Central Railroad Museum as they dive into the history of the New York Central railway.

The presentation will be given by NYCRM Executive Director Brent Holaway and their current Curator, Steve Deinhart, as well as former Curator, Dave Overton.

The Studebaker Museum's website states "the New York Central Railroad was once the second-largest railroad in the United States and was an important fixture in Michiana rail history."

The railroad's history is preserved in the NYCRM, a rapidly growing institution in Elkhart according to museum officials.

Organizers say the presentation will cover information from the NYCRM itself and other local history.

Admission is $2 and free to Studebaker National Museum members and campus members, with refreshments to follow.

The presentation will be held in the Wiekamp Auditorium.
