'Island of Blues' in downtown Elkhart Saturday

ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Parks and Recreation Department announced the "Island of Blues" will return to downtown Elkhart with music, food, and fun on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

This year's festival will be hosted by Ole' Harv, host of WVPE's Blues Revue, and will feature a variety of blues bands and artists.

Live music schedule:

• 11 a.m. – Big Daddy Dupree's Broke & Hungry Blues Band
• 12:30 p.m. – Southside Denny
• 2 p.m. – DieDra and the Ruff Pro Band
• 4 p.m. – Stefan Hillesheim
• 6 p.m. – Mike Wheeler Band

Besides live entertainment, attendees can expect BBQ and desserts from local vendors and enjoy cold drinks at the beer garden.

Admission is free and organizers encourage you to bring your friends, family, and lawn chairs, to experience a full day of fun at Island Park.
