Lake effect snow will ramp-up overnight, peaking through the early - mid morning hours, accumulation of more than four inches is likely under the main band. Travel from Benton Harbor to South Bend to Elkhart will be impacted along with areas in-between. Totals will be very localized depending on the band. Crossing bands of lake effect snow can me a rapid change in road conditions and visibility, creating hazardous travel. The lake effect snow showers will end Thursday evening. The weather quiets down and warms up through the weekend. Sunshine returns and highs warm near 40 by Sunday.
