Indiana Department of Health runs out of COVID-19 rapid tests

The Indiana Department of Health has run out of its inventory of rapid antigen COVID-19 tests, affecting state-funded testing sites in Michiana, the Department of Health announced Wednesday.

Those wanting a rapid test will have to get one through a private provider, such as a pharmacy, or from a retailer, if available.

Many state-funded testing sites still have PCR tests available.

Free PCR testing is still available at the following Elkhart locations, according to the Elkhart County Health Department:

  • 119 W. Wolf Ave. Elkhart
  • 1745 W. Lincoln Ave. Goshen
  • 200 E. Jackson Blvd. Elkhart
