'Hoopla' hits the court at Crossroads Community Church in Mishawaka
MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Crossroads Community Church in Mishawaka hosted their 'Hoopla' Event this morning, keeping up with the March Madness spirit by playing basketball, among many other fun games.
The church aims to connect with children in the community, having many events over the course of the year to show them that they are loved.
"Today we're super excited because we are out in the community, showing the community that they're loved. That's our motto. So, one of the things we do is we're trying to show the kids, just let them have a little bit of fun. So, March Madness, we're all celebrating that this month. So, we have decided to do this thing called hoopla. The kids are in a competition to win a glow in the dark basketball, which is amazing, and then they have all kinds of fun games, like silly games, like there's a basket on top of someone's head, and they're throwing ping pong balls in there. They're playing pin the tail, put the basket in the in the hoop, and things like that," stated Mishawaka Campus Pastor at Crossroads Community Church.
Another event coming up at Crossroads Community Church is an Easter egg hunt on Palm Sunday, which will also feature mini horses and bounce houses for the community to enjoy.
