Holy Cross College announcing incoming on-campus student housing
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- During a groundbreaking Thurs. afternoon for a new athletic complex, Holy Cross College president, Dr. Marco Clark, announced another groundbreaking that will take place the following week.
On Thurs., May 8, the college will break ground on its new $12 million residential complex. It will be the first new on-campus housing since 2015.
Scheduled to open for the 2026-27 school year, it’s planned to be a 29,000-square-foot facility that can fit 114 students, social gathering rooms and study spots, a courtyard and more.
“This is a college that’s grown close to 20 percent each of the last three years, in an era where we see declining enrollments in college and university, it gives us so much to look forward to. In order to create that transformative student experience we want to give even more our students the opportunity to live on campus. So, this new building will be the first of three new resident halls. One of them will house 114 students, three stories, 29,000 square feet, "said Dr. Clark.
