ATLANTA, Ga. -- Khalid Kareem, a former Notre Dame defensive lineman who now plays for the Atlanta Falcons, expressed his excitement about watching his former team play in the stadium behind him.
Kareem, who was a captain during his final season at Notre Dame, praised the current defense's success and predicted a 42-14 Notre Dame victory over Georgia Tech.
Kareem shared his positive impressions of Notre Dame's defensive coordinator, Al Golden, and highlighted the promising performance of the team's young defensive players. He specifically mentioned the freshman defensive lineman who was injured but has a bright future.
"Al's got them guys dialed up. I was with Al for about two years on Cincinnati. Great guy. And D line on ball," said Kareem. "They had the one freshman. He was born, you know, until he got injured. But I think he's going to have a great career. Howie Riley, they're doing amazing. The guys on the back end, they're doing pretty good too."
Kareem's teammate JD Bertrand, a two-time Notre Dame captain, will also be present at the stadium for Saturday's game.
