ELKHART, Ind. -- Former NFL wide receiver and Elkhart native Nathan Palmer is giving back to the community by leading the youth sports program for the Elkhart Education Foundation's Summerscape day camp.

"Having Nathan do our sports camp is pivotal in regards to making sure that children see activity has to be a part of life," said Charmaine Torma, Executive Director of the Elkhart Education Foundation.
Palmer has been coaching and teaching valuable life lessons to the kids at camp throughout the week.
"It's definitely a good moment to walk in the door," said Palmer. "Just to be able to seem them smile every day and give them a little bit of hope to chase their dreams and notice that these guys still look up to me."
