Fire and Ice Festival returns to Goshen Friday
GOSHEN, Ind. -- Officials with Downtown Goshen announced the Fire and Ice Festival will return as part of Goshen First Fridays on Friday from 5 to 9 p.m., with events for all ages.
Professional carvers will transform 300-pound ice blocks into time-bound art live at multiple locations throughout the day.
There will also be fire dancers to entertain attendees into the evening.
Organizers say children are welcome to sit on the ice throne or sleigh and have their picture taken.
Attendees can also roast a free marshmallow over the toasty outdoor fires.
Entertainment:
- Noon to 2 p.m. - Live ice carvings at First State Bank, Electric Brew
- 2 to 4 p.m. - Live ice carving at ADEC
- 4 to 6 p.m. - Live ice carving at Cressy & Everett
- 5:30 p.m. - Wonderflow Hoop Co.
- 6 to 8 p.m. - Live ice carvings at The Nut Shoppe, Goshen Brewing Co., Goshen Theater, Venturi
- 6 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. - Clark Lewis Juggling
- 6:45 p.m. and 8 p.m. - Pyroscope Entertainment
Besides entertainment for all ages, organizers say there will be food and drink options as well as specials and promotions with participating downtown businesses and merchants.
Food and Beverages:
- Warm up at Goshen Theater with hot cocoa and popcorn.
- The Goshen Historical Society offers hot cocoa and cookies throughout the evening.
- Warm up with Maple City Market’s award-winning chili. The deli will have both regular and vegan options.
Kids Activities:
- Create your own bookmark at Fables Books from 5 to 7 p.m.
- Enjoy holiday movies at Garden City Church, alongside complimentary coffee and cocoa.
Downtown Business Promotions:
- Meet the Author, Judith Davis, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fables Books.
