SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- As bugs and viruses make their way across Michiana this cold and flu season, one local school is being hit harder than most this week.
Holy Family Grade School, in South Bend, announced on Tuesday night that the school would be closed on Wednesday due to an excessive number of students and staff with an illness.
Full statement from Holy Family:
Due to the excessive number of students and staff with illnesses, school will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, February 5th, 2025.
This is NOT an eLearning day. We will communicate the date of our make-up day later.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but our priority is ensuring the safety of our students and staff.
Stay tuned to local news stations, Mrs. Cains' Remind app, and Holy Family social media sites for updates.
If you need a note for your employer, please let me know.
Thank you!
It is unknown at this time if the school will reopen on Thursday.
