Father's Day kicking off the heat wave

NOW: Father’s Day kicking off the heat wave
NEXT:

Highs in the 90s return today as temperatures rise from the 60s this morning into the lower 90s this afternoon. Skies should stay mainly sunny, the swim risk will be low on Lake Michigan for anyone heading to the lakeshore to try and beat the heat. Skies become partly cloudy overnight and we'll see the chance for a few pop-up thunderstorms, mainly between 8:00 PM - 4:00 AM. We'll wake up warm Monday with overnight lows staying in the mid 70s, Monday afternoon is even hotter as highs rise into the mid 90s. With abundant moisture in our atmosphere, it will feel muggy outside and we'll see the possibility for pop-up thunderstorms once again by Monday evening. Isolated storms chances will be in Tuesday's forecast as well, but mostly the day will be hot and humid again with highs still in the low to mid 90s. The heat wave takes hold of the entire work week ahead with the 90s not letting up. We should stay mainly dry with more significant rain/storm chances holding off until next weekend, also when we should see the heat break.

Today (Father's Day): Mostly sunny. High 92.
Tonight: Partly cloudy, chance for pop-up t-storms. Low 75.
Monday: Partly cloudy, hot and humid. Few pop-up t-storms possible late. High 96.
Tuesday: Partly cloudy, hot and humid. Few pop-up t-storms possible late. High 93.
