Armed robbery at Michigan Dollar General, police searching for suspect
MGN BERRIEN SPRINGS, Mich. -- The Berrien Springs Oronoko Township Police Department reports there was an armed robbery at the Dollar General at 9179 M-139 near George Street in Oronoko Township at 8:55 a.m., on Tuesday, June 25.
Witnesses told police an unknown black male suspect wearing black clothing and a black ski mask threatened the store clerks with a pistol and demanded money.
The report states the suspect then fled the scene with an unknown amount of cash.
A police K9 assisted and tracked the suspect for hundreds of yards before losing the scent.
No injuries were reported by Dollar General staff.
