South Bend Community Police Review Board met Thursday night
ELKHART, Ind. – A year after the tragic shooting of Danielle Robinson and her unborn child, Daniel, friends and family gathered to honor her memory through a candlelight vigil.
365 days have passed since 34-year-old Danielle Robinson was shot and killed at a home on Morton Avenue.
So far, the Elkhart County Homicide Unit who are still investigating the case, have made no arrests and have yet to give family any answers.
However, Brenda Carter, the aunt of Danielle and the caretaker of two of her children says that the police may not have given answers yet—but they have given her hope.
Hope that justice will come for her niece and that someone will come forward with information.
Sunday night the family gathered in hope and prayer to remember the mother, cousin, sister, and friend that Danielle was.
Danielle was taken from 6 children, a large extended family, and numerous friends.
Her cousins say she was the smart one, always knowing where to go and when and that her laughter filled every room she walked into.
To remember this light in their life, the family lit candles and released balloons with the words “Danielle and Daniel, we love you!” to tell their beloved souls that their memory will not be forgotten.
If you have any information that could help police with this case, you are urged to call the Elkhart County Homicide Unit at (574)-295-2821.
