Dari Fair opened Wednesday for 2024 season, temperatures cool...
A stretch of nighttime temperatures staying in the 60s is the norm for Michiana during the summer months.
In October, however...that's a much different story.
Through the first week of October, low temperatures have dipped below 60 degrees only once. This year is already in 2nd place in terms of most October "lows" in the 60s, and is very likely to be the record-holder by early next week.
And there's no end in sight to the warm temperatures. Realistically, we could see double digit nights with lows remaining in the 60s before the end of October 2021. This means that you may need to keep your air conditioner running deep into October.
Temperatures won't be falling toward fall normals anytime soon, so don't put away your shorts or even flip-flops yet!
