Norma Jean Somers Splash Pad soft opens before winter

COLOMA, Mich. -- The City of Coloma announced the soft opening of the Norma Jean Somers Splash Pad located in Randall Park as of 1 p.m., Tuesday.

Commissioner Jamie Balkin said, “Please note: the site isn't complete, please be careful as there is grass seed planted and hay near the splash pad. Current hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Simply press the blue button in the middle to start the water features. Special thanks to everyone who made this a reality of the City of Coloma!"

Officials say while the official ribbon cutting/opening will take place in the spring of 2025, the public is welcome to enjoy the pad during the warm fall weather.

Mayor Marsha Hammond shared, “I am excited to share that the Splash Pad is on and working as of 1 p.m. today. Thanks to the hard work of many contractors and city staff we turned it on today. It is a very special day for our city!”
