An Extreme Heat Warning has been issued for our viewing area, and it is in effect until Tuesday June 24th at 8:00pm. Overnight lows will be in the mid 70s, with daytime highs reaching the mid 90s, heat indices over the 100-degree mark. This heat is dangerous, so avoid strenuous outdoor activities, stay hydrated and find ways to stay cool. Tuesday brings the chance for storms, and slight relief from the heat, though we will only be dipping into the mid 80s into next weekend. Storm chances stick with us until next weekend, with afternoon pop-up storms the most likely candidate for form of storms. Hopefully, the cooling pattern continues into the beginning of next week, with highs expected to reach closer to average, and decreasing shower chances.
Today: Extremely hot, sunny. Heat Index 100+. High 95.
Tonight: Unnaturally hot. Low 77.
Monday: Extremely hot, sunny. Heat Index 100+. High 96.
Tuesday: Extremely hot, some clouds. High 93.
