SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Reporter Annie Kate spoke with AAA's Public and Government Relations Spokeswoman, Molly Hart about the many factors causing the sticker shock at the fuel pumps.
Molly Hart said that in addition to the international issues causing a slowdown in our gas supply, there are also several factors here at home that may also be contributing to the quick rise in fuel costs.
"There are some other factors, which include that we're right now switching over from the winter blend of gasoline to the summer blend. The summer blend is more expensive to make. Also, refineries go into seasonal maintenance during this time, pretty much through the month of May, so that means they're not producing at full capacity." said Hart
