Elkhart releases schedule of Halloween community events

ELKHART, Ind. -- The City of Elkhart announced a plethora of family-friendly Halloween events for the community to enjoy.

The events range from trick-or-treating and spooky train rides to pumpkin carving.

Organizers encourage residents to come out, wear their costumes, and enjoy.

The events include:

  • Oct. 22 - 5 to 7 p.m. - Pine Not So Haunted Woods Walk Pinewood Park
  • Oct. 23 - 5 to 8 p.m. | Oct. 24–25 - 5 to 10 p.m. - Haunted Walk Through the Woods at Elkhart Environmental Center
  • Saturdays in October - 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. - Spook-Tacular Express at National New York Central Railroad Museum
  • Oct. 25 - Trick-or-Treat at the Museum
  • Oct. 25 - 10 a.m. to noon - Woodlawn Pumpkin Carving at Woodlawn Nature Center
  • Oct. 30 - 3 to 5 p.m. - City Hall Trick or Treat at 229 S. Second St., Elkhart, Ind.

“Events like these give the community an opportunity to come together and enjoy the Halloween festivities. We encourage everyone in the community to come out, show off their costume creativity, and have fun,” said Alex Otto, Director of Communications.
