WARSAW, Ind. -- Warsaw Community High School baseball coach Andy Manes is stepping down from the position after seven seasons with the Tigers.

The Warsaw Athletic Department announced Brandon Scott has been named interim head baseball coach effective immediately.

“This has been one of the most difficult decisions I have ever had to make,” Manes said. “For weeks, I have wrestled with this choice, spending countless hours in prayer, reflection, and conversation with my wife, family, and mentors. Walking away from something that has meant so much to me brings a tremendous amount of heartache.”

The head baseball coaching position is expected to be posted in a week.
