Elkhart County Health Department welcomes new Administrator and Interim Health Officer
Melanie Sizemore MBA, MPH, has been hired as the Health Administrator. Sizemore was previously the health department’s Division Manager and Public Information Officer for nearly a decade.
“I’ve dedicated my career to public health and I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve my community in this new way,” shares Sizemore.
Richard Hostetter, M.D., has been hired as the Interim Health Officer. Hostetter is a retired board-certified surgical oncologist with Goshen Health System.
“Elkhart County has been my home for over 20 years now. I am honored to serve my neighbors as Interim County Health Officer and thankful to the Board of Health for entrusting me with this role,” shares Dr. Hostetter. “My number one priority is to protect and improve the health of our communities.”
