Notre Dame Men’s Basketball out to a 4-0 start to the season
SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Notre Dame freshman, Hannah Hidalgo, has earned her 7th ACC rookie of the week award after scoring 24 points in last week's win over Pittsburgh.
Hidalgo continues to shine on both ends of the court, leading the ACC with nearly 24 points per game.
She also leads the ACC with 74 steals on the year.
Coach Niele Ivey spoke on Hidalgo's potential, saying, "That just shows her potential. She's just such an amazing talent. And she's beyond her years. And I think that's why she's broken the record because she's not playing like a freshman. She's playing like an upperclassman. You know, she's in the conversations, top 10 in the country with and we're talking about Caitlyn Clark and the Angel Reese's of the world. So, the fact that she's in that conversation shows you the type of talent that she has, and she's been consistent. She's been solid, and she's done everything I've asked of her and doing more. So, I'm really proud of her."
The Irish host Boston tomorrow at 7 p.m. and will be home Sunday against Miami.
ABC57 Tipoff will be back at 11:30 a.m. leading you right into the game on the CW25 on Saturday.
