BREMEN, Ind. -- The Bremen community gathered together Tuesday for a parade, kicking off their 67th annual Fireman's Festival.
The parade features more than 80 attractions participating, from bicycles to trucks, floats and more.
The festival used to be held around Labor Day but has been pushed back over the years so that rides are available and the festival doesn't conflict with other events in the area.
Business owners in Bremen believe the festival being early in the year is better for business so they can have their outlet participate in other festivals throughout Michiana later in the summer.
The festival itself happens at Sunnyside Park and includes dozens of games, rides, food vendors and craft booths.
Booths and rides open on Wednesday and the festival runs through Saturday evening.
