NILES, Mich.--- Hot topics on the Brandywine school board agenda today, as parents and faculty members voiced their frustrations at the school board whose president called reading materials in the school library pornographic.
The much-debated topic of "banning books" will now ultimately come down to parents who will have to sign "book policy and permission forms" for books a review board deems as controversial or explicit.
About 30 books int he school library were found to be inappropriate. Seventh to tenth graders won't have access to the restricted books. Eleventh and twelfth graders will be able to access the books, but a parent can sign a form if they don't what their child reading it.
