Bicyclist dead after fatal vehicle crash

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- A serious bodily injury crash involving a bicycle and a gray 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 occurred at 2:28 p.m. on Friday, June 27.

The collision happened in the westbound lane of C.R. 34 west of the intersection of C.R. 34 and C.R. 37.

Saturday afternoon, the Elkhart County Sheriff's Office was notified that the bicyclist involved in the crash had been pronounced deceased at South Bend Memorial Hospital. 

The crash is still under investigation.
