BCHD community baby shower supporting new, expecting families
BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- The Berrien County Sheriff's Office announced they received a donation of bullet and stab protective vests for K9s Rex and Zeke from the non-profit Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.
The vests were both sponsored by Katrina Owens of Cockeysville, Md.
K9 Rex’s vest is embroidered with the words “In memory of Zeus Owens," while K9 Zeke’s vest is embroidered with the words “In memory of Okie Owens.”
K9 Zeke is partnered with Sgt. Brandon Crosby and K9 Rex is partnered with Dep. Jessica Frucci.
Vested Interest is a charity whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to law enforcement dogs and related agencies throughout the U.S.
