SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Indiana Attorney Genral Todd Rokita is asking a Judge not to dismiss his lawsuit against the Saint Joseph County Police Department.

The AG claiming the County Police do not cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement Detainers.

Rokita states that makes Saint Joseph County a quote "Sanctuary City', but the Police Department maintains that is not true.

In the court filing, Rokita says the Department's motion to dismiss the lawsuit should be denied, because he claims they do not honor ICE Detainer Requests and State Law forbids them from restricting communication between local officials and Federal Immigration Authorities.
