Arrest warrant issued for former Concord H.S. teacher facing criminal charges

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- An arrest warrant has been issued for Andrew Cowells, the former Concord High School teacher who was charged with child solicitation, possession of child pornography, vicarious sexual gratification and several other charges last week.

The arrest warrant was issued Monday.

The investigation into Cowells was prompted after Cowells made inappropriate comments in class and acted inappropriately in the boy's restroom at school, according to the probable cause affidavit.

Cowells has not been taken into custody.
