'Archaeology in the Midwest and Beyond' at The History Museum

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The History Museum in South Bend is hosting "Archaeology in the Midwest and Beyond" as part of its monthly lecture series, Insights in History.

The lecture takes place on Wednesday, June 5, at 1:30 p.m.

Jay VanderVeen, Ph.D., RPA, Professor, Department of Sociology and Anthropology, IU South Bend, will speak about items found in the Midwest during archaeology digs.

VanderVeen will also explain the importance of the finds used to study history.

A tour of mastodon bones and fossils on display will also be offered.

General admission is $3 and $1 for members.
