43-year-old Knox man charged with narcotics possession, meth and fentanyl

Kyle Sanders

KNOX, Ind. -- The Starke County Sheriff's Office reports deputies executed a search warrant at a residence in 2600-east block of 150 South in Knox on Feb. 21.

Authorities say the search warrant stems from an ongoing investigation by detectives with the sheriff's office regarding narcotics-related activity at the residence.

The report states narcotics, including suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine, and a firearm were found in the home as a result of the search.

Deputies say 43-year-old Kyle Sanders, of Knox, and a juvenile were also found inside the home at the time of the search.

Investigators then called the Indiana Department of Child Services to respond to the scene due to the juvenile living there.

Sanders is being held on preliminary charges related to narcotics possession and neglect of a dependent.

Authorities say formal charges are pending review by the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office.
