ELKHART, Ind. -- Elkhart Community Schools have sent out an email to families tonight, sharing that they are aware of a potential threat posted on Snapchat regarding a school shooting.
As of right now, law enforcement has not identified any immediate danger, but will have increased police presence at schools.
Families are encouraged to discuss the importance of responsible social media use with their children, and remind them that any threats, even if intended as a joke, can have serious and legal consequences.
