ELKHART, Ind. -- ABC57's Jordan Hatfield spoke with Viktor Tomashek, Principal Dancer & Artistic Director, and Sofiia Halda, Principal Dancer, about the upcoming Grand Kyiv Ballet performance of "The Snow Queen" at The Lerner Theatre on Nov. 16.
Based on the Hans Christian Andersenfairy tale, it tells the story of Kai and Gerda, and Gerda's journey to save Kai from the Snow Queen, with music from classic composers like Mozart, Vivaldi, and Grieg.
The Grand Kyiv Ballet was founded in 2014, but since 2023 the company has been based out of Washington state due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine but still performs all around the world.
You can purchase tickets for show on The Lerner website.
