MICHIANA -- A severe thunderstorm moved through Aug. 27 and was warned for winds up to 80 miles per hour, which is considered destructive.
Northern La Porte County in Indiana and Southern Berrien County took the brunt of the storm Tuesday night, and as of this afternoon, power in the Union Pier area is still out for over 2,000 customers.
Cleanup is said to be something that will take a while.
