ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash on S.R. 15 north of C.R. 40 around 2:09 p.m., Wednesday.

The report states a 2024 Ford Maverick, driven by 74-year-old George Rose of Goshen, was traveling south on S.R. 15, just north of C.R. 40, when he stopped while waiting to turn left into a private drive.

Authorities say a 2017 Ford Transit, driven by 37-year-old Ivy Beard of Albion, Ind., was traveling south on S.R. 15 when it crashed into the rear of the Maverick and sideswiped the passenger's side of the vehicle.

Neither driver reported any injuries, while Rose's front seat passenger, 73-year-old Vivian Kinyon of South Bend, was taken to Goshen Hospital for treatment of her injuries, which included complaints of abdominal pain.
