ORIGINAL STORY: MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- The Republican primary for Marshall County sheriff is between Les McFarland and Jeff Snyder.
Current sheriff Matt Hassel is also a Republican.
Hassel took his first position in the Marshall County Sherrif’s Department in 1981 and has worked closely with both candidates.
Snyder is currently a captain in the sheriff's department and McFarland is a lieutenant detective.
