ABC 57 NAPPANEE, Ind. -- Just two days after an emergency stop order shut down Amish Acres, work and plans may resume at the restaurant barn.
Its owner since October 2025, Brad Juneau, will move forward preparing the site for reopening, now that the building permit for the central restaurant has been reissued by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security (IDHS).
Juneau told ABC57 it was all a paperwork issue and claims all proper documentation has been provided. Thursday morning's inspection report found no violations.
The newly-issued permit only applies to the restaurant barn. The Round Barn Theatre on the Amish Acres campus has an expired permit that would need renewed before it can reopen.
