ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. - - Elkhart County is inviting Hoosiers to get outside this winter and participate in some fun outdoor activities with Elkhart County Parks. 

On Wedensday, Feb. 5, Ox Bow County Park will be hosting a winter themed scavenger hunt and bird walk from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Participants will be able to search and explore the park for winter themed nature items while getting to see native winter birds along the way. Binoculars will be provided. 

This free event is open to ages eight and upwards and no registration is required. Participants are encouraged to dress accordingly as this event will move forward despite any inclement weather.  

Those interested should meet at 8 a.m. at the Ox Bow Haus Shelter located at the Ox Bow County Park in Elkhart. The park would like to remind those interested that even if they can't make this specific event, they do offer themed bird walks every first Wednesday of every month starting at 8 a.m.
