Volunteers pitch in to help tornado victim move into new home
SELLERSBURG, Ind. -- On Monday, volunteers lent a hand to help an Indiana mom who lost her legs protecting her kids!
Part of Stephanie Decker's home fell on her when powerful tornadoes ripped through Henryville earlier this month.
Now, her family is getting ready to move into a new house in nearby Sellersburg.
But first, a lot of work had to be done!
"Well, they've already added an addition to the back of the house. I think it's a master bedroom. It's going to be like wheelchair accessible," said Jacob Armstrong of Silver Creek High School.
"It's just good to come out here and help out family and help out getting everything ready," said Matt Hawk, another student there.
Decker is expected to be home from the hospital this week.
