CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- The Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a crash Friday afternoon on Lawrence Road, south of 96th Street in Volinia Township. 

Deputies responded to the crash around 12:37 p.m. and an initial investigation indicates a vehicle driven by a 31-year-old Marcellus woman was traveling south on Lawrence Road when she lost control.

Authorities say the vehicle then left the road and overturned coming to a rest on its hood. The driver was taken by SMCAS ambulance to Bronson Lakeview Hospital for in Paw Paw for injuries sustained in this crash.

Authorities say alcohol and/or drugs are not believed to be a factor in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
