Volunteers needed to help flood victims
Volunteers are needed to help local residents who suffered damage from the flood waters earlier this month.
More than 950 homes were damaged and approximately 100 of those suffered major damage or were destroyed, according to the Salvation Army.
Volunteers are needed to help clean up debris, carry out soaked drywall, cabinets and furniture and offer assistance to crews who are visiting from other parts of the state.
In many cases the crews are tearing out the walls down to the studs and then treating for mold. Local emergency officials say volunteers will be needed for the next 18 months to help with the repair and rebuilding.
