Under the Lights: Berrien Spring sweeps victory against Benton Harbor

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- The first drive for Benton Harbor ended with a safety, and things didn't get any easier for the Tigers after. Despite Benton Harbor responding with a touchdown after going down 16 to 0, Berrien Springs took control and began their season with a 51-6 victory.

After the win, Shamrocks head coach Ben Iliff said "we played hard the whole time, the defense, I thought, got to the ball, and played hard, and flew around, and made plays. Offensively, we made some plays, some were off schedule, some were how we designed them. We’ve got some things to work on, but we got the opening week win, and that’s what we were hoping to get."

Looking ahead to week two, Benton Harbor faces Lakewood at home, and Berrien Springs welcomes Otsego.
