ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to the roundabout at Ash Road and C.R. 12 on Tuesday around 5:50 a.m. for a two-vehicle crash.

The report states a 2020 Nissan Rogue, driven by 66-year-old Yong Gaspelin of Elkhart, was traveling west on C.R. 12 approaching the roundabout at Ash Road.

Authorities say a 2014 Subaru Outback, driven by a 53-year-old Osceola man, was heading north on Ash Road and was in the roundabout.

The report states as the Outback was just north of C.R. 12, about to continue onto Ash Road, Gaspelin entered the roundabout, rear-ending the Outback.

The Outback's driver stated he felt pain in his lower left back but didn't need immediate medical attention.

No citations were given according to the report.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
