Two-vehicle crash leaves one dead on M-152

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -  A two-vehicle crash has left one person dead, another injured on M-152 on Tuesday just after 5:45 pm, according to the Cass County Office of the Sheriff.

 The two cars crashed after the westbound vehicle had crossed over the centerline of M-152, deputies said. The eastbound car flipped over due to the crash. Both cars were engulfed in flames when deputies arrived at the scene.

One of the drivers was transported to the hospital for their injuries but was treated and released.

The other driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Names are being withheld by deputies as families are being notified.

Seatbelts were worn by both drivers. It’s unknown if drugs or alcohol are factors in the crash, according to deputies.

This crash remains under investigation.
