Head-on two-vehicle crash in Elkhart County
ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office reports on Thursday, around 5:13 p.m., deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash near C.R. 4 east of C.R. 11, in Elkhart.
The report states a 2015 Honda CRV, driven by 45-year-old Sabrina Emrich of Elkhart, was travelling east on C.R. 4 when she crossed left of center into the westbound lane.
A 2024 Subaru Crosstrek, driven by 25-year-old Rachel Fuller of Goshen, was travelling west on C.R. 4 when Emrich crossed the center into her path.
The Crosstrek and CRV then crashed head-on.
Emrich had complaints of hip pain from her seatbelt, was assessed by Osolo medics on scene, and refused further medical treatment.
Each driver had one passenger with no other injuries reported.
Fuller was also wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.
No citations were given, according to the report.
