The Veggie Van is giving away free, healthy food

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. -- A mobile farmers market will be handing out free packages of healthy, high-quality food from the Veggie Van on September 17 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

This event will be set up drive-through style at Spectrum Health Lakeland Primary Care in Hartford, 525 South Center Street.

The goal of this giveaway is to allow residents with limited access to fresh fruits and vegetables to have an opportunity to acquire some.

Only 100 bags will be handed out on a first come, first served basis.
