In honor of the 20 year remembrance of the September 11th terrorist attacks, ABC57 is taking a look at what happened that day and its impact on Michiana.
Anchor Brian Conybeare was living in Manhattan and working at a local news organization at the time the attacks happened.
Brian walks you through what happened that day, shows you archive footage of his coverage from 2001 and speaks with a student who received a scholarship in honor of a local woman who died in the attacks.
The Katie McCloskey Memorial Scholarship has been given to 20 different South Bend Adams graduates. Brian introduces you to Dezha Moore, a recipient of the scholarship.
