State of Michigan announces changes in beer law

LANSING, Mich -- The state of Michigan has changed a law that will allow more beer to be made within its borders.

An old state law put a cap on how much beer a restaurant could make and still stay open as a restaurant, but just a few days ago the governor signed legislation removing the cap.

One brewery has already said it will increase its output by thousands of barrels and will add dozens of jobs.
