South Bend Theatre Company to release a virtual movie musical for at-home audiences

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – South Bend Musical Theatre Company, Art 4 will release their virtual performance of 35mm.

The movie musical, which will be available to stream September 25 and 27 and October 1 and 3, focuses on photography, and features music by composer Ryan Scott Oliver.

35mm is told through photography and a limited narrative, and will showcase American life in the modern age.

This is just one example of Art 4’s response to theatrical performances during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Our emerging performance of 35mm is another example of how Art 4 is leading the conversation in our community to create accessible, relevant contemporary musical theatre, even in the most difficult of times,” said Aaron Albin, Executive Director.

35mm is prerecorded, and can be streamed to laptops, televisions, and Apple products like the iPad and iPhone, and will only be available through a password protection wall.

After purchasing a ticket, audiences can watch the musical as many times as they wish during a 6-hour window.

Tickets are now available for $20 each and may be purchased online.
